The ECDC is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. DATA CONTROLLER INFORMATION

 

This website is owned by the Eastern Cape Development Corporation, a government entity that is mandated to plan, finance, co-ordinate, market, promote and implement development of the Province and its people in the fields of industry, commerce, agriculture, transport and finance.  If you voluntarily decide to apply for our services online, opening an account, request a meeting, or otherwise take any action that involves providing personal data, you consent to this Policy, as well as to the storage of your data on our servers, and to the collection, processing, transfer, and storage of your personal data by the ECDC and its regional offices in the province. For data protection purposes, these may include ECDC cooperating organisations of the ECDC. 

The data controller for your personal data varies depending on the nature of your interaction with the website. For example, if you apply for a training programme that is ran in partnership with a business chamber, your details and contact information will be provided to that cooperating organisation. As another example, if you request a visit, your name and contact information will be provided to a regional office to fulfil your request.

We take the security and confidentiality of your personal data very seriously. We use up-to-date data storage and security techniques to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, unlawful destruction, or accidental loss.
