LabtronicSolutions, a youth-owned multimedia enterprise based in Mdantsane, continues to position itself as a leading force in township-based content creation and digital innovation. As the first fully equipped multimedia studio in the area, the company has evolved into a central hub for photography, videography, live streaming, podcast production, sublimation printing, audio, visual and lighting (AVL) consulting, and studio hire with capacity of up to 230 guests, suitable for hosting mid-sized productions, training sessions, product launches, and live podcast recordings.

On 20 November 2025,  Executive Mayor of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, Ms Princess Faku, through the Isiqalo Youth Fund, pledged support to this growing enterprise through the handover of a panel van and ICT equipment valued at R1.3 million to the company’s founder, Mr Thobani Vumindaba.

Established officially in 2015, Labtronics has steadily expanded its footprint by offering high-quality and accessible multimedia production services to brands, churches, creatives, and organisations. The business has also built a strong digital presence through its podcast network, featuring shows such as Conversations @ The Block and The Nayful Podcast, which reach audiences across YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. These platforms amplify local voices and create new opportunities for creative monetisation within the Eastern Cape.

The support from the Isiqalo Youth Fund comes at a critical growth phase for the business. The panel van and ICT equipment will significantly enhance mobility, improve on-site production capabilities, and support faster deployment of audio-visual services across the province. This investment is aimed at strengthening Labtronics’ long-term ambition of transforming Mdantsane into a competitive creative industry hub that empowers youth, nurtures local talent, and drives digital inclusion.

As a strategic partner in the province’s enterprise development ecosystem, the ECDC’s presence at the handover reaffirms its commitment to promoting and championing opportunities for youth-led businesses.
