FAME WEEK AFRICA 2026: CALL OUT FOR FASHION DESIGNERS TO ATTEND THE AFRICA FASHION FORUM
The Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) in partnership with Eastern Cape Provincial Art and Culture Council (ECPACC) are looking for Fashion Designers from the Eastern Cape to attend this event and take up space in industry.
FAME WEEK AFRICA is a celebration of African creativity where the continent’s talent is showcased on a global stage, through film, animation, music, entertainment technology and Fashion. In this event the African Fashion Forum gives a platform for artistic expression to Fashion Designers to foster stimulation of Trade and Investment while showcasing the talent that individuals and creatives from different backgrounds and walks of life have to offer.
THE AFRCA FASHION FORUM
The African Fashion Forum (AFF) brings fashion into the wider creative conversation at FAME Week Africa, exploring how designers, stylists, costume professionals, filmmakers, musicians, brands and other creatives are increasingly working across industries. Through a curated series of talks and industry conversations, AFF explores the intersection of fashion, screen and music — from costume and character development to artist styling, fashion on screen, brand collaborations, cultural influence and the opportunities being created as Africa’s creative industries become increasingly connected.
At the heart of AFF is its flagship fashion experience, Tastes + Threads bringing together fashion, food, music and entertainment for an evening celebrating African creativity. The African Fashion Forum forms part of FAME Week Africa, bringing the fashion industry into the same room as the people shaping Africa’s film, television, music and entertainment industries. The AFF will take place on the 28 October 2026 at the Cape Town Internation Convention Centre (CTICC).

Certified ID copy.
Submit a minimum of x10 images of your original designs.
Submit a synopsis or cover letter on the submitted and why you should be selected to participate in FAME Week Africa.
Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
Only successful applicants will be notified, if you do not get a response within one week after the closing date, please deem your application unsuccessful.
Participants will be expected to submit a post-event report highlighting outcomes and opportunities secured.
