International Food Show Africa | 08-12 June 2026 | Kram Exhibition Centre, Tunis

The Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) will apply for funding from the dtic SSAS fund to support Eastern Cape producers' participation in the International Food Show Africa (IFSA), scheduled to take place from 8-12 June 2026 at the Kram Exhibition Centre in Tunis, Tunisia. The goal of the trade mission is to help Eastern Cape producers access the Tunisian market.


Tunisia IFSA serves as a commercial hub connecting African importers, distributors, retailers, and HORECA buyers with international suppliers across the food and beverage ecosystem. It brings together stakeholders across the entire value chain from primary agriculture, processing, cold chain, and packaging to finished consumer products and hospitality solutions.


The platform creates market entry into both North and Sub-Saharan African markets, particularly where food production infrastructure is developing.



Objectives

  • To explore entry opportunities into North African and Mediterranean markets.

  • To leverage opportunities under the AfCFTA framework

  • To assess demand trends, pricing structures, regulatory requirements, and distribution channels

  • To position EC agro-processing and food products within the African Continental market

  • To promote value-added products to importers, distributors, retailors and hospitality buyers

  • To showcase competitive advantages in quality, traceability, and sustainability

  • Acquiring in-depth knowledge of the business landscape and specific market requirements of North Africa, equipping entrepreneurs with valuable insights for successful market entry.

Targeted sectors:

  • Value-added & processed foods (Citrus concentrates, Pineapple and tropical blends, smoothie bases for hospitality)

  • Sauces and Condiments

  • Grains

  • Animal Feed Inputs (Maize Soya, Sunflower)

  • Natural Ingredients & Niche Products

  • Herbal and Botanical Products

  • Meat & Poultry

  • Fresh Produce  

Financial Support offered by the dtic should cover;

  • Air travel assistance

  • Accommodation, dinner, bed, and breakfast

  • Ready to use exhibition booth

  • Ground Transportation

  • Transportation of product samples 

 Below is a list of supporting documents and criteria required:

  • The entity must have been in operation for at least 12 months

  • Company registration certificate

  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate

  • Valid BBBEE Certificate

  • Valid Audited Financial Statements

  • Colour Brochure

  • Company Profile

  • Valid Audited Financial Statements

  • A copy of the Passport of the proposed traveller

  • Completed and signed the application form

  • Export Certificate
