Through the ECDC, government is driving the development of critical film infrastructure in the Eastern Cape in order to attract and retain high quality film and television productions. The benefits of world-class infrastructure extend to an increase in induced film tourism, promoting the province as a film destination of choice, while reducing the cost of filming.
The idea is to ensure that the full value chain remains in the Eastern Cape to improve job creation, revenue generation and all related benefits such as tourism growth through extended stays and spend in the province.
