Bringing Government to the People

MEC Pieters led the DEDEAT Group Information Day — an outreach programme aimed at closing the information gap and facilitating delivery of group services directly to the people. The day began on a heartfelt note, as MEC Pieters donated school uniforms to children from Gustav Reichel Primary School.

“This is more than just a uniform. It’s about restoring dignity, giving hope, and ensuring that no child is left behind because of their circumstances,” said MEC Pieters.

Throughout the day, the DEDEAT Group — including all its public entities — engaged communities through service delivery exhibitions and presentations of services offered.

“Too many of our people still don’t know what help is available to them. Today, we brought government to the people — because real development starts with access and information,” MEC Pieters emphasised.
