The Eastern Cape Development Corporation hosts Black Equity Financing Symposium. The Symppsium will serve as a platform for engagement on interventions for supporting black entrepreneurs across different sectors to bridge the equity gap in order to advance their interests of starting or growing their businesses. It will bring together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to exchange ideas on the challenges, interventions, areas of collaboration as well as develop an action plan.
Objectives of the symposium are to:
- Explore different equity instruments available for supporting black entrepreneurs.
- Identify gaps within the existing initiatives.
- Explore development of interventions for supporting black entrepreneurs through equity financing across different sectors, as well as opportunities for building into existing initiatives.
- Come up with proposals and an action plan for supporting black entrepreneurs in bridging the equity gap.
