Internet Explorer
The Eastern Cape Development Corporation site offer a service called RSS Feeds or RSS. With RSS Feeds you will be able to download information such as latest news, podcast, tenders, vacancies and announcements throughout the day to subscribers. If the Feed button Mozilla Firefox
Subscribing to an RSS web feed is as simple as creating a so called Live Bookmark. And to make life even easier Firefox can auto detect some feeds, and provide a shortcut for subscribing. When you visit a site and you see the orange icon in the bottom right part of the Mozilla Firefox browser window (the status bar), or if you are using version 1.5 or newer, in the right most part of the address bar. You can add the feed(s) by clicking the orange icon and subscribing to one. If there is more then one RSS feed, Firefox shows a list from which you can pick one. The Add Bookmark (Add Live Bookmark for 1.5 and newer) dialog appears and you can add the Live Bookmark. I prefer to add the Live bookmarks to the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder, normally shown under the navigation toolbar, so I can have a quick peek at recent events with just one mouse click.
Opera
If you have Opera's navigation bar enabled, a Newsfeed button will be displayed if there a newsfeed link is detected on the active page. Click the button to start a subscription. A small selection of newsfeeds to choose from is also included with Opera; go to Mail > Newsfeeds to see them. After you set up your news account, Opera will download the list of available newsgroups for that server. Note that these lists are often large--1 MB or more in size--and do not issue status reports. Click on newsgroup names to subscribe to them and click "OK" when finished. You can subscribe to more newsgroups at a later time by going to Mail > Newsgroups to open the Newsgroups subscription dialog. Use the "Quick find" field at the top of the dialog to narrow your selection.
Safari
Whenever you land on a page that offers an RSS feed, Safari displays an RSS icon in the address field. Click it and you view the simple RSS feed. Bookmark it and Safari tells you how many updates have been added since your last visit. The RSS view in Safari is customizable, so you can adjust article length or sort and filter articles by date, title, and source. You can also use the built-in search field to find articles relating to topics of interest.
