Rhodes awards MBAs for the first time

Eleven students received the first-ever Rhodes MBA in a ceremony held earlier this month.
The university, which is celebrating its centenary, awarded 1 600 degrees, diplomas and certificates together with 421 post graduate degrees.
Eight honorary doctorates were conferred; seven to Rhodes graduates which included Alice Krige, Gencor chairman and chief executive Brian Gilbertson, Investec chairman Hugh Herman, University of Western Australia vice chancellor Professor Deryck Schreuder and one to a former Rhodes employee Dikela Billy Ndwebisa.
