THREE EASTERN CAPE motor men have been honoured in the latest edition of the South African Automotive Yearbook. Volkswagen South Africa’s general manager of sales and marketing, Bill Stephens, has been admitted to the automotive hall of fame for his services to automotive marketing in South Africa. He has played a key role in maintaining high standards for automotive advertising in South Africa. The two other additions to the automotive hall of fame are Martin Kruger and Neal Bruton of Response Group Trendline. The Port Elizabeth – based company handles all the monthly sales statistics, as well as providing a number of other services. According to their citation, South Africa’s ability to attract foreign investment and the sophistication of its automotive sector have for many years been underpinned by high quality statistical and analytical services provided by Martin Kruger and Neal Bruton. The award recognises both their individual contributions, and the formation of a partnership which is ensuring the continuation of data processing best practices in South Africa’s motor sector.
