THE EAST LONDON Development Zone Corporation (ELDZC) won a gold award for its stand at the South African Trade Exhibition at the Gallagher Estate in Gauteng. The award was for the best small stand. The show included more than 500 exhibitors from more than 40 countries. The ELDZC said a number of “serious inquiries” had been received at the stand from interested show goers, and many inquiries were made by potential investors hosted at a cocktail party. Earlier in 2003 the IDZ was given a prize for having the best green trade zone website at an international conference in Belgium.
