STATE ELECTRICITY utility Eskom has committed R39 million for the 2002/3 financial year to revamp the power supply to the Wild Coast and its resorts to boost tourism in the region. Eskom regional manager Willie De Beer said the overall budget included capacity enhancement for the Centane, Cintsa, Greenacres and Ocean View areas. The venture would further improve the quality of services to resorts within the Wild Coast Holiday Association area, said De Beer. There are further plans to install a line for additional feed to the Umtata, Lusikisiki, Port St Johns and Harding areas.
