
Damsane celebrates 10 years with TPT promotion
EC export appointed as Transnet Port Terminals chief operating officer.
Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) former GM of sales, logistics and commercial Nosipho Damasane, has been appointed to succeed Solly Letsoalo as COO from October 1.
Letsoalo would leave TPT at the end of September to take up the position of MD in the private sector, freight logistics group Transnet noted in a statement.
TPT executive commercial manager Don Maclean would be appointed as acting GM of sales, logistics and commercial, the group added.
“Damasane and Maclean are well equipped to assume their new responsibilities and challenges, given their business experience and industry knowledge,” commented TPT CEO Tau Morwe.
Damasane began her career with Transnet in 1998 as East London port manager before moving to TPT as GM for operations at the Eastern Cape terminals.
She has been at the helm of the sales, logistics and commercial portfolio, since 2007.
Maclean is a qualified chartered accountant and a certified financial planner with eleven years of experience in industrial development and project finance.
