THREE PORT Elizabeth companies are among the Delta Motor Corporation’s top suppliers for 2002. Delta, in which General Motors has a 49 per cent stake, assembles Isuzu, Opel and Fiat vehicles in South Africa. Faurecia Autoplastics was named winner of the Sils and Kanban category, which covers suppliers who deliver materials direct to the production line. LUK Africa took the honours in the metallic category, while East Cape Wiring emerged the winner of the electrical category. The overall winner was Gauteng-based Chemetall which supplies the primers and sealers for the Delta paint shop.
